2ndly - what is so bad about the mothership fit? How would you have fit it differently? Smartbombs aren't as useful with the citadel torp HP buff. He probably died because he stupidly flew a mothership with not enough support.

OK I'll bite.
There's only 3 dictors on the KM, if he'd fit his highs properly (with some heavy neuts and a remote ecm burst) or even just split up his ECM drones between the HICs he'd probably have gotten out (bumping aside).
Smartbombs are still good for killing off drones/fighters thus removing some DPS off you. Also get enough together and you can still pop citadels.
I'm pretty sure the other ships had points as well as the HICs.
If he was alone I don't think it would have mattered what he fit. If he had support I doubt drones or fighters would be his biggest concern. I don't care much for the drone links either, is that all that makes this mothership fit LOL worthy? *shrugs*
Whats the story behind this kill? Did he undock by an ejector station? Was he playing docking games until he got bumped off station? Is he an ebay character caught at a belt?
Give some details please!
HIC's would have been the only thing to worry about due to e-war immunity...
The fit is hardly terrible tbh, it could use some changes but compared to some of the **** i've seen thrown on moms it isn't bad.

Durrrp - OK thanks for explaining I forgot about the EWAR immunity. Heavy neuts 'could' have saved him.
I thought the tank and remote reps looked solid - but the lack of heavy neuts to deal with HICs in low sec - I see the problem now.
It also explains the Falcons getting in with neuts and missiles...
Aye the mids and lows were fine, but the highs were ******ed; only explanation i can think of given the amount of remote reps and the relative sanity of the rest of the fit is that he expected backup.
Still, stupid though.
